We exercise various types of analytical tests on materials especially on precious metals and PGM metals and provide assay reports. Our materials analysis services evaluate material quality and provide the necessary insight to improve performance & resolve failure or contamination issues. We identify and report trace amounts and major concentrations of nearly all elements within a sample. Trace Metal Analysis

Trace metal analysis is one of the vital tests performed on precious metals for detecting and identifying the low levels of metal in the sample. It is also known as Elemental analysis for identification and quantification of elemental composition to trace and ultra-trace levels for a diverse range of samples. Determining trace levels of metals in samples can help to identify contaminants and provides important data to help both process improvement and chemical product formulation development.

Noble Catalyst applies its Quality Assurance expertise in elemental trace and ultra-trace analysis to parts per million (ppm), parts per billion (ppb) and parts per trillion (ppt) levels, using proven techniques for sample preparation and sample analysis. In particular, we have a great deal of experience in trace metals analysis and strengths in inorganic analysis.

We utilize instruments with cutting edge technologies including inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) which detects trace levels through to percentage levels. Sample types and matrices tested for trace elements include organic and non-organic, aqueous and non-aqueous material

Purity, XRF & UF Tests

Purity tests are mainly done for defining material quality levels. There are various methods to conduct purity test.

An XRF test is conducted by placing the sample material in to a test chamber of special testing machine that bombards the item with a high-intensity light. The reflected frequencies of light from the sample are measured to determine its metal . This is method is uded only for whole samples which are not alloyed or plated with other materials.

Ultrasonic Frequency tests are similar to the ultrasound tests practiced in medical science. The sample is penetrated with high frequency sound waves.The bouncing waves determines how much solid matel the sample is. These tests helps identifying bogus materials plated with precious metals
