SILVER(I) NITRATE

Product Usage : Silver nitrate is employed in Silver plating, photography, manufacturing of other silver compounds, mirrors, coloring porcelain, and staining in histology. Silver(I) nitrate is used to separate mixtures of alkenes by selective absorption, and for deprotection and oxidation reactions in organic synthesis. It is widely used as an analytical reagent owing to its immediate reaction with halide ions forming insoluble precipitate of silver(I) halides. It can be used to prepare some supported acid catalysts like AgNO3–SiO2 based catalyst is used to dearomatize spirocyclization. AgNO3 is also used as a precursor salt to synthesize silver nanoparticles.
